A DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM FOR A VLSI FUZZY PROCESSOR

ABSTRACT

A Fuzzy Processor Development System (FPDS) has been realized at the INFN laboratory in Bologna for applications based on the Fuzzy Logic. A program has been written in C language and has been developed for a homemade VLSI fuzzy chip. It is a digital full programmable fuzzy processor allowing up to 127 fuzzy rules, four 7 bit inputs and one 7 bit output. The FPDS allows to develop on a Personal Computer the Fuzzy Knowledge Base suitable to an application, to load this Knowledge Base to the target chip, to run the application and to analyze the inference results.
